Step 6: Make the seat
Fix (with 35mm wood screws) a 25mm x 25mm fillet of wood around the inside edge of the seat frame for the seat boards to sit on. See fig.6.

Have the 25mm x 25mm fillet slanting down towards the back of the seat, as shown in the diagram below.

Then measure, cut, fit and glue 150mm x 25mm boards to the top of the fillets. See fig.6a.
Step 7: Make the base
This step is optional but it does add a lot of strength to the chair.

Run a 90mm x 45mm shamfered (one edge bevelled) frame around the base of the chair and bolt it to the legs with 130mm galvanized coach bolts. See fig.7.

Then measure, cut, fit and glue 150mm x 25mm boards to the top of the fillets. See fig.7a.
Step 8: Fit the Decorative Seat Back
Fit some sort of decorative pattern to the seat back. See fig.8.

This can be just about any type of decorative fixture such as wrought iron, a metal wall hanging found at some garden centers, wood carvings, scroll work, or as last resort, even trellis would suffice.
